HYDERABAD: After loading cash in an SBI ATM at SanghiNagar on Saturday night, cash-handling staff left the key in the lock. However, luckily no cash was stolen as a vigilant customer alerted police in time.
On Saturday at around 7.30pm, a customer, who went to the SBI ATM at SanghiNagar, noticed that the key of the ATM was left in the machine's lock. He immediately alerted the police.
"We rushed to the ATM centre immediately and brought the key to the police station. As per our preliminary investigation, cash loader Naveen Goud forgot the key there by mistake, but luckily no cash was stolen. We will handover the key to senior staff of the bank on Monday," Hayathnagar inspector G Srinivas Kumar said.
