The phones are expected to be $68 which is around Rs 4000, and they are expected to start shipping during third quarter of 2013.
“The Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 are designed for people who like a classic phone and traditional keypad but don’t want to miss out on smartphone experiences, like staying connected to social media and accessing the Internet,” said Timo Toikkanen, executive vice president, Mobile Phones, Nokia. “As our most affordable 3G devices yet, the Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 offer a perfect balance of performance, features and quality.”
The phone will have Mail for Exchange support and apps likes WhatsApp (initially only for Nokia 208 Single SIM), Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The phones have an alphanumeric keypad and support the Nokia Transfer app which allows people to sync contacts directly from their smartphone including the Nokia Lumia range, Windows Phone 8 and most Android smartphones.
The Nokia 208 has a 1.3 megapixel smart camera while the Nokia 207 does not come with a camera. The smart camera features of the Nokia 208 include with voice-guided self-portrait, sequential shot and panorama mode.
Both phones support Bluetooth 3.0, have 256MB flash memory and SD card support up to 32GB.
The Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 SINGLE SIM variant has upto 33 days of standby time while Nokia 208, and up to 20 days of standby time for the Dual SIM version.
Available colours include red, cyan, yellow, white and black.
