Maruti Suzuki shares fell after India's biggest car maker by volumes
said June sales declined 12.6 per cent to 84,455 units against 96,597
units in the same month last year.
Shares in Maruti Suzuki traded 0.64 per cent lower at Rs. 1,528.10 as of 10.31 a.m. against a 0.12 per cent gain in the broader BSE Auto benchmark.
The biggest drop was witnessed in exports. Maruti said June exports
were down 43 per cent to 7,453 units against 13,066 units in the same
month last year.
Among modes, mid-size segment SX4 witnessed 23 per cent drop to 314
units in June. Sales of Maruti's best-selling sedan DZire fell 8.7 per
cent to 12,548 units.
