Agri technocrats meet at Kashmir

Srinagar,Aug 4: Agriculture Technocrats Welfare Association today alleged that some vested interests were trying to malign the image of the Agriculture Department.
 At a meeting here today with its president Shakeel Ahmad Hakeem in chair, the members said that some insignificant problems in the department were being tried to be blown out of proportion.
 The members said the entire “agricultural fraternity”, particularly field functionaries, “have been successfully running different programmes of the department like seed procurement, ISOPAM, technology mission, vegetable clusters, etc. for decades together.”
 “They have proved their mettle in successfully launching and implementing different prestigious programmes like RKVY and National Saffron Mission Programme,” the association in a statement said.
 Meanwhile, the association extended Eid greetings to Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir, MoS Agriculture Nazir A Gurezi, Commissioner Agriculture Production Department, Asghar Samoon and all others in line.
