Bheemanna Gowda Patil Biradar (28) from Bijapur was here to meet Chief
Minister Siddaramaiah to complain that the BJP government’s decision to
increase the retirement age of government employees had deprived him of a
government job.
Among the many who came for the “Janata Darshan” on Friday, he said that
his hopes of becoming a sub-inspector of police were dashed after the
retirement age was increased and the Police Department kept the
recruitment process of sub-inspectors in abeyance.
“Soon, I will not be eligible for applying as I will cross the
prescribed age limit. If the retirement age has been increased, the age
limit to apply for government jobs should have also been increased,” Mr.
Biradar told the Chief Minister who then promised him that the issue
would be looked into.
School admission
Meanwhile, the parents of a child, Jayaadeesh Pannaj, complained that
the school had cancelled the boy’s admission as he was suffering from a
genetic skin problem.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to get the child re-admitted
in Navodaya Kishore Kendra in Singapore Layout, Vidyaranyapura,in
Bangalore.
While Doddamma from Halaguru in Mandya district complained that her land
had been encroached upon, another person from Kanakapura sought
compensation as he had suffered loss.
“When I was grazing my sheep on the banks of the Arkavathi, mud caved in and 100 heads of my sheep died,” he said.
